Both fighters were hyped as good to start, Bisping had the UFC hype machine giving him all kinds of kudo's, but his personality showed through, plus his failure to be realistic. Yeah the image based off of any one figthers actions and/or words is prob about 99% their fault but my point is that the masses choosing to credit or discredit a fighters SKILLSET can't be helped by the fighter. It's all about being an objective fan/observer (admittedly that is hard for me to stay objective from time to time
) and IMO you can be the heel or the hero and that has no correlation with your actual skills.
