It's no coincidence that the guys who are at the top of their divisions usually have a very long reach.
I'm sure Jones would fight differently if he didn't have such a reach but to say having a long reach isn't a natural gift is obviously wrong.
PLUS, It seems like its a bit easier to cut weight when your taller. Look at Johnson who was cutting 60 pounds for a while. Look at Jones, Silva, pretty damn big for their divisions...
I definitely factor size and, to a much smaller extent, reach into how good I consider a striker.
Jones rocked him first with a punch, which stunned Machida enough for Jones to get in close and take him down. Then the elbow fucked him up, and once again on the feet Jones rocked/dropped Machida which led to a choke.
