Scared is a very loaded term.
I don't think he's frightened, as in a little kid being afraid of a bully who told him to meet him at 3pm by the basketball court.
I think he thinks the size differential poses a risk that outweighs the reward. I think if he can spin it so he retires undefeated while raking in cash, he'd obviously want to do that.
But Anderson's logic is incredibly flawed, particularly in light of his main defense in pursuing the smaller opponent in GSP is that he only wants big $$ fights. Jones would represent a big $$ fight, but simply one that he has a much higher chance of losing.
If you have to characterize Silva as frightened of anything, it would be of losing money, of losing his reputation. And that might even be a stretch, as nobody really knows what he's thinking.
I just wish he'd lose soares. Lose him somewhere that nobody will ever find him again.
Personally, I don't want to see either superfight. I want to see champions defend their belts. But that's probably just me.
