Because its sickening listening to people drag his name through the mud out of sheer bias. He seems to be in a catch 22 situation where nomatter what he does someone will have an excuse or a reason to ding him on.
Hes too big to be fighting at mw and often enjoys an advantage. So he moves up to lhw to fight a top contender in Forest Griffin (someone whose of equal size if not a little larger) and his performance is just as dominant. Now suddenly Griffin was a easy match for him a match he should have won. Or Griffin's size gets devalued which again takes away credit from Silva's victory. Now he beat Bonnar someone who is argugably bigger than Griffin and now there are still excuses. Oh that fight was a joke and Bonnar had no business in the cage with him yet Bonnar has fought both Machida and Jon Jones.
Now we are hearing people say shit like Oh he is just afraid of Jon Jones because he doesn't want to fight him. WTF? Jon Jones doesn't want to fight Silva as well so how does that even work?
Again we have people crying about his legacy and his GOAT status as if there is someone presently ahead of him when actuality there is no one. For those of you who believe in the term GOAT you have no choice now but to accept Anderson Silva as the greatest fighter of all time and still running strong.
I am willing to bet someone will reply and say some shit like well he needs to be fighting bigger guys. Well guess what there are no other bigger guys at lhw in top 5 other than Jones who has expressed equal disinterest in fighting Silva.
What does he have to do next? Perhaps move up to heavyweight and fight JDS? If that is what he has to do to gain respect from people then that same offer should be equally applied to Jon Jones who should move up in weight and fight top competition just as big as him.
There is always something people are complaining about and when they can't attack Silva they attack Soares. It's fucking annoying to me and unfair to Silva.
