I don't expect you to understand this but as a casual fan Silva is one of the few reasons I am remotely interested in watching MMA right now. The other fighters I like are either on the verge of retirement or are on current suspension.
Well actually as a supposed "hardcore fan" maybe you do understand my point a view especially considering you once defended Fedor with equal vigor.
The way I see it every MMA fan here casual/hardcore has that one special fighter that they will defend with ruthless aggression within limits ofcourse. I don't think you can honestly look in the mirror and say that most of the negative press that Silva receives is not without bias.

One thing I know for sure is that when you are a dominant champion fans will consistantly want to see you challenged until you ultimately cross paths with your demise.
