Yeah but Sherk was only like 3 for 30 or something like that on his takedowns in that fight lol and Diaz reversed one with an omoplata attempt like right away...and that was only a couple fights after his fight with Diego who took him down almost at will (but I think Diaz did a tad more damage in the fight, overall, and took Sanchez down a couple times as well). TBH I'm not sure how that was a UD for Sherk. I didn't think the shots he was landing had much on them at all. It was the exact type of fight Diaz wanted and Sherk got thwarted on most of his TD attempts and did no damage on the ground whatsoever. It was close but I thought Diaz took it.

He's had to have rolled with Shields so many times and he knows that is going to be a primary plan for certain people do beat him. Yeah, he hasn't defended takedowns from a top wrestler, though, in a long time.

The thing with Kos is he doesn't really set up his takedowns well...as strong of a wrestler as he is...and the kind of body shots Diaz can land (Which he didn't really possess near as much back in the day) can really take it out of his opponents. His work rate has also went up. I give Diaz a better chance against Fitch/Diaz in a 5 round fight, though. Fitch is such a sticky grappler though and has overall better BJJ though and is less likely to get subbed imo than Kos plus he will stick to grappling close to 100% whereas Kos would be dumb enough to stand with Diaz for a portion of the fight imo.
