Not really...Dana is still the boss and Anderson is a champion under contract with the UFC. Just cause Anderson is an extremely gifted fighter don't exempt him from the fact that if he dont defend his belt by April their will be a couple other guys fighting for it.
I expect a strong arm from Dana here. Anderson is an employee and has a career in the UFC and a duty to defend his belt if he wants to be opening gyms and staring in movies it should be after he retires or atleast not interfering with the most important thing his job.
Lesnar/GSP are both bigger draws and interm belts were put in place with their injury absence..If Anderson wants to take a healthy leave of absence I believe he will be stripped of his belt. No way the company will stand for this shit.
