I see where your comming from, keep in mind all of the buyers that planned on buying the PPV event assume Hendo vs Machida will headline it. I just think the UFC is taking a huge risk having the Ronda Rousey fight surpass the Hendo and Machida fight. I assume its going to be the first female fight in the UFC considering none else have been scheduled yet, not to mention there are many unknowns to Woman's MMA as far as the casual UFC fan goes. I'm all for Women's MMA but I think having a few smaller fights with "not as popular women" fight first so the UFC can gather an expected outcome on what to expect with scheduling a Ronda Rousey fight. Perhaps its not a mistake, but its a huge risk. If something unexpected were to happen from this fight, considering its the main event, I think it will effect the company long-term as opposed to it only being a co-main event or even any fight on the main card.
