These situations will be handled exactly how Zuffa always has. There's a reason the brand is still growing. They mix fights will that fans want to see as well as people who have earned their shot. While these fights are not best for the sport's purity, they are what any sports organization in the capitalist system would do and are supposed to do. Other leagues manufacture rivalries between teams to get the fans involved so that they can increase ticket and apparel sales. Why shouldn't the UFC do the same?

This is how I have seen the LHW division: Hendo should be fighting Jones, but instead Sonnen is. Zuffa is capitalizing on Chael's infamy while he is still relevant. A good Jones/Sonnen fake feud on TUF will stir shit up and make stacks of cash. While, Hendo has to prove himself before getting another shot. Why? Well, Hendo had his role in UFC 151 debacle by not informing Dana of his injury. A move that involved deception in hopes that Hendo could make it to fight night. Hendo is on Dana's shit list and right now Sonnen is one of Dana's best buddies.
