As far as Bisping's only chance being taking Belfort down, he's got 4 or 5 inches of height/reach on Belfort and a great gas tank. Belfort is not known for cardio.
Belfort's boxing and handspeed is outstanding, but he's not a complete striker. He doesn't have great kicks, he doesn't defend kicks well, and look for Bisping to use them to keep distance and establish his length.
The reason Bisping is disrespected has nothing to do with his skills. It has more to do with his prickish arrogance and relentless self-promotion to the point of overhyping himself. It's entirely a judgement of the character--or lack thereof--that his PR displays. A win won't do a lot to change this if it's followed with an atypical presser for him.
The good news for zuffa is that Bisping comes off as so unlikeable, they may even get to market Anderson as the good guy. That would be a sight to see.

I was more referring to how everybody puts down Bisping for not beating a top 10 guy, yeah, he comes across as a prick, but I meant that if Bisping does get passed Vitor, a lot of people should realize that he is officially a contender, perhaps even shooting himself in the top 4 if he makes Vitor look bad, I don't recall Bispings jiu-jitzu really being tested in the UFC so we'll have to see, I think Vitor can sneakily catch Bisping in a submisison. Vitor has good jiu-jitsu but we rarely see it. I just don't see Bisping being able to apply his typical standing gameplan of stick and move, if Wandrelei was able to tag Bisping a few times, Vitor I believe will put him to sleep
