The overhand right came at the 1:24 mark in the first. Before that point Cain was peppering JDS's face, which was quite red already. Velasquez was pretty much having his way with JDS, who was moving well, before that overhand right was even thrown.
Also, JDS had many opportunities to pounce on some of Cain's failed takedowns, which some left Velasquez prone, but opted to run away to safety. I like JDS, but I respectfully disagree with anyone who says that Cain was "desperate" with those takedowns, because JDS was equally as desperate to get the hell outta Dodge.
