Well really its worse than Chael as chael has at least faught at 205 before, Cormier has never faught at LHW, i guess i see how that is better than Sonnen? Don't let your dislike for sonnen affect your judgement on other situations or fights.

But no. Once again they decide to skip the legit contenders and give it to a guy that has zero fights in the LHW division only because they like him.
Cormier is a very good fighter, and I think he could be a threat for Jones. But once again this is another bitchslap to Gustafsson, Machida and Henderson. |
There cant be more than 1 top contender in a division? I think this just goes to show how deep the LHW division is (eventhough Jones has finished basically 90% of the top contenders). It is not a bitchslap in the face to machida, Bones already provided that himself when he made Machida his fastest finish since becoming champion, and hendo bitchslapped himself keeping his injury secret and telling the UFC at the last minute. As for Gustafsson, he has beat 1 top 10 fighter in the UFC, hes still a big name fight away from the title IMO.
