Golllllldberrrrg. Golllllldberrrrg.
Forget Carmen Sandiego. Where in the world is Mike Goldberg? The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) play-by-play man skipped the UFC 155: "Dos Santos vs. Velasquez 2" pay-per-view (PPV) event last Saturday night (Dec. 29, 2012) at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada (read more on that here), and no one knows when he'll be back.
Not even his boss.
UFC President Dana White told media members that "Goldie's out for awhile and I don't know when he'll be back." Goldberg himself tweeted that he was "bummed" to miss UFC 155, but had to "put his health first." No other information or details were made available.
Until now. A report from Terez Owens suggests that Goldberg was removed from the announce table while he seeks rehabilitation for an addiction to drugs, specifically Adderall, a stimulant typically used to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and narcolepsy.
The UFC refused to comment, but our sources are telling us the reason behind Goldberg's no show is he's stuck in Rehab for a pill addiction. Our source tells us Goldberg has an addiction to adderall.
As mentioned, FUEL TV commentator Jon Anik has been tapped as a temporary fill-in.
Keep in mind that nothing has been confirmed at this time and neither UFC nor Goldberg have commented on this report; however, keep it locked into MMAmania.com for more details as they develop. In the meantime, best of luck to Goldberg in "putting health first."
