Actually Lombard seems like someone the UFC would really want to fight for the title... If he had beaten Boetch, who knows what they would have done... I had him winning that fight, regardless of how unimpressive it was. If he had finished Boetch impressively, I could have seen the UFC giving him a title shot right then.
He is a more known fighter... Getting recognition in another big organization, where he was a champion. His aggressive, fast pace style with plenty of finishes under his record would help them market him as well. His record is impressive any way you look at it. He would also bring in some international attention(Australia, Cuba, and even Japan to a lesser extent.)
