Andy was one of the best ever in k1 and as a karate fighter he achieved far more in k1 than anyone else in his era. If you have never seen him before you should check this out (part 2 is particularly good), as it'd be a shame for such a good fighter to be forgotten.
RIP Andy Hug 1964-2000 (aged 35)

Hug was the man. It is so unfortunate that he passed when he did.

Yep, he was cool, messed up that he died so young, but it also kinda shows how strong he was to be able to fight so close up until he died.

Yeah he was fighting with a seriously debilatating disease pretty crazy, he beat Cro Cop 3 months before he died, i believe he had another match a few weeks later which he won, they were his last 2 anyway.

Literally all Andy Hug Highlights bring a tear to my eye because I think of how good he was as a fighter and as a man. Also, how much he meant to other fighters and the sport. His death is what makes it really sad because it was like all of sudden he was gone.

Yeah you are right, it was so sudden and he was so popular, it shocked both fighters and fans.
The hls i posted do a good job of showing how good a fighter he was and how sudden his death was and the impact it had.

I would have loved to see Hug face those prime boxers in his prime he would own them via legkicks and strategy.also some jabs or elbows or knees or head or stare:devil:
