The total fighter payroll for the UFC 74 was $761,000. For results and blow-by-blow coverage of UFC 73 click here.

*Note: The NSAC is withholding $25,000 from Babalu until it can review his controversial decision to continue choking out his opponent, David Heath, long after the light heavyweight tapped out.

I was thinking the exact same thing.

I'd love to know what the real bottom line is..............what they end up making after all is said and done.

That's great for mir. It was so good to see him fighting like he use to. But I'm still not sure what we'll see when he fights a real opponent.

I'm with you guys though, amazing that an undercard got that kind of scratch and it wasn't even televised.

Just because these salaries may be a little off for some guys, I wouldn't think I'd hear them bitching. Like the article read, those figures don't include ppv buy rates, bonus, sponsers, etc. Mir did get paid a lot, but he may not of gotten a large buy rate percentage. They may have redone a deal for him since he co-hosts the WEC shows. Interesting stuff though.

This is the reason Boxing contracts are better, if this is true.

wow... i hate kos but come on he is worth alot more than $10,000 just for beating diego alone ...plus how the hell huerta got a bigger pay than him

Is it possible that Mir is still on a contract from when he was champ? He seemed to have a great payout.
