Frankly I dont understand it, the guy says a lot of bullshit in every event. He is not charismatic, not funny, not intelligent. Why Dana does not fire him?
Maybe they are very good friends?

Rogan always has the aspect of a homeless man, when he is not shaved he literally looks like a bum and IMO he is not a great commentator either, but at least it seems that he knows a couple of things about MMA and sometimes can be funny.

But Goldberg? If we begin to search for the epic dumb lines he has said then we will find many of those lines.

Anyone knows why he is not fired?

I think Goldberg has gotten better, but i think he still needs a public speaking class or something lol. I find myself getting annoyed at goldbergs comments throughout the fights, even if i agree with him sometimes i just can't stand the way he talks, alternatively my girl absolutely hates listening to rogan lol. I feel like after i watch some fights, i'm in a good mood and a little pumped up, then i have to suffer through 35 - 45 painfully long seconds of Goldberg wrapping up the show. It just seems like he's trying too hard. I'd rather have the commentator from unbeatable banzuke!

As far as Rogan, some fights he's really doing a great job, but other fights i feel like i'm listening to some drunk at the bar. He's about 50/50, still better than goldberg imo.

Whats the deal with these 2 guys anyway? I'd like to see more commentaries done with the fighters whether they're active or retired.

Bas Ruten and Quadros were the best. The Voice is good too. I don't usually listen to the commentary anymore, usually the party is too loud or I'm at a bar and everybody is too loud.

It's be awesome if Bas replaced goldberg!

i doubt he is going anywhere, hes the voice of ufc. WWE offered him a nice amount to come take over when Jim Ross left and he declined.

I like Goldberg because he screws up. He makes some really funny comments sometimes... unintentionally.

I know what you're saying about goldberg's unintentional comedy lol, and that is definitely a plus for him!

This thread got me thinking about Bruce Buffer, and what he does when he isn't announcing, so i went and searched around really quick and found that he has a Black Belt 2 rating (i haven't the slightest clue what that means besides the fact that he has a black belt), and that he was an amateur kick boxer until he was 32, and continues to train today. I have to say that he just got a whole lot cooler in my eyes!

EDIT: Ok i take it all back, these guys aren't that bad. Why am i saying this??? I saw my first episode of strikeforce this weekend, wow, the commentators really need some help! Awesome fights though! It was this episode : Strikeforce: Miami - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strikeforce:_Miami)
I've never seen or heard of cyborg, but she's a beast!!!!

Quadros really wow maybe i have him mixed up with someone but that guy did not know shit about mma when he was in pride (he is the guy with the very bad staind yellow teeth right )

It should be some combination of Randy Couture, Bas Rutten, Kenny Florian, and Mike Schiavello commentating every show there is.

....the voice sucks!!....I can't believe people like this douche bag......before the K-1 new years eve card he did a Q and A with mmaweekly and basically said who he thought and wanted to win each fight. As an announcer or play by play guy your are really not supposed to inject your opinion like that. He does it all the time, and on top of that he is annoying as hell.

....I'm not saying Goldie is any better, but at least he provides some comic relief, even if it is unintentional. Rogan and Bas provide fans with the best mma knowledge. They would be a good team. I really don't know what happened to Quadros because he and Bas in Pride were a really good team. I think Quadros needs to put down the pipe or whatever drugs he is on.

His precision is really...precise. Goldberg on Anderson Silva.

I hate how Goldberg is always doing those dumbass plugs at the worst time, like when someone is trying to pull off a sub "don't forget to check out the UFC poker room, Joe!"

"Here we are at sold out so-and-so arena for UFC such-and-such." "Three five minute rounds!" "SUPERMAN PUNCH zOMG!!!!1" It's the same stupid shit over and over, at least Joe has some insight in to what is actually going on. He breaks down some things for people who are new to the sport which is cool. But Goldberg just spews out crap. And does he have to end every sentence with the word "Joe"?

Baa!

^^^

I actually think he is in love with Rogan, I have seen some pics of Goldie looking at Rogan with such a weird face....
The things that he says are epic, I bet one day he will say "The UFC fighters are in the UFC"

I don't know why there's so much hate towards Joe Rogan. He's got an exciting voice, and knows a whole lot about the sport, and keeps the fight exciting. I really enjoy his play by play sometimese when the fights on the ground, explaining what's going on in detail for the casual fan who doesn't know a lot about the positions and sub possibilities.

As for him looking like a bum, whenever i see him he's usually got a nicely pressed button up shirt and some jeans on, which I think is fine for some sitting behind a desk who you don't even see for the majority of the night.

as for goldie.....well he says some dumb shit but he's got the voice for the job and maybe if he talked a little less and let rogan fill in the silent spots with some mma talk, then i'd be happier. i wouldn't want to see couture or florian replace him because whenever they guest ommentate, they usually bore the shit ut of me. florians whiny girl voice and coutures quiet gravely murmur bugs me even more then goldbergs "john madden-like" obvious remarks.
