Jorge Rivera at MW & Jeremy Jackson or Mikey Burnett at WW.

It'd be interesting to see if Coutures team can get any wins this season.

i don't think there's any teams this season and Couture's not a Coach ,but an advisor.

Then why has UFC.com got an announcment on their home page headlined as "Couture & St. Pierre to Coach TUF 4" (page 1)?

i never saw that all i saw from UFC.com is this

"16 UFC veterans will be in America's living rooms every week courtesy of Spike TV, as the eight middleweights and eight welterweights of 'The Ultimate Fighter' season four cast were announced Wednesday. Assisting these vets in training will be UFC hall of famer Randy Couture and top welterweight contender Georges St. Pierre."

it says assisting in training-not coaching.I don't know I could be wrong though ,but mmaweekly has it on there rumors page that GSP and Couture are advisors.

Hmm, I can't see Mikey Burnett or Shonie Carter (or any other of the vets to be hinest) needing too much coaching. they've been at it for years.

I'd like to see if Burnett is still a good striker in today's game though.

it's just semantics, they will both be doing a lot of coaching, obviously, just not in the team vs. team sense.

im picking boone when he comes in as the surprise fighter, when one of the contestants leaves because their hamster passed away. Sorry but last season with the noah thing and then the hurt ribs I quit thing, just made season three a really good target for one liners lol

The UFC has updated their main page. They have changed the word "Coach" to "Trainer".

I remember dana white saying about this a few months back that these are by far the best fights ever on TUF, and that they are paperview quality. Shonie Carter and Patrick cote where two guys he mentioned during the unvailing after blade.

I'll take Cote and Mr. International Shonie Carter, as long as he has extended periods of time where he wears his speedo-esque wrestling shorts with all the flags on them.

I'd like to see Sell back in the UFC although I'm baffled as to why he's not a regular on the UFC anyways.

He beat Baroni in a cracking match then lost a BS stoppage to Quarry on UFN & get's dumped?

Yet Terry Martin gets booked time after time?!?!?

I think Chainsaw will do pretty well. We only saw the one UFC fight where he got brutalized by the Crow with that spinning back kick. I think he is a tough fighter.

Assuming that they don't stick to the team-thing when picking final matchups:

Patrick Cote vs Jorge Rivera - Cote by sub
Chris Lytle vs Matt Serra - Lytle by TKO

If it's strictly a team vs team then:

Mikey Burnett vs Chris Lytle - Lytle by sub

Yea, Cote's last two wins have been by choke. I know if I was fighting Rivera, I would take it to the ground as fast a possible.

Huh, I didn't realize he won his last two fights by submission.I think he'd do alright standing with Rivera though as long as he kept his distance.Cote is very similar to Chris Leben and Leben KOed Rivera in 1 minute and 44 seconds of the 1st round.Cote has the ability to KO Rivera imo.

Jason MacDonald and Bill Mahood earlier this year.

Can't believe I forgot about the Leben fight. You're probably right about Cote having the ability to KO Rivera. I was just thinking in terms of strategy. I don't know Cote well enough to know if he goes into a fight with a game plan of taking a guy to his weakness or just likes to bang and takes a sub if it's handed to him.

Do you know who has the longer reach? I can't remember who is taller.

In reference to my earlier post, let's get real... if Rivera was coming at me across a cage, I'd be squealing like a little girl and tapping on the ref.:ahh:
