| Mosley vs Cotto "less than a week from becoming official"? Quote: |
...In another welterweight showdown, which oddly enough pairs Goldenboy Promotions and Top Rank Promotions, that hasn't been officially inked but is said by both camps to be less than a week from becoming official is a Nov. 10 Madison Square Garden showdown between Shane Mosley (44-4, 37KO's) and Puerto Rican sensation Miguel Cotto (30-0, 25KO's). Top Rank's leader, Bob Arum, stated that if Cotto didn't look as well as he did against Zab Judah, this fight would have never been discussed. Unfortunately for Arum, Mosley is no Judah. This could very well be the night that the young Cotto's 'O' finally goes.

First heard this on the radio, looks like it's close to being done.
This is a good article, it's mostly about PBF/Hatton though.

Cotto/Mosley is going to be a great, great fight, and Cotto's second big test of the year. Should he win, he has to be a frontrunner for Fighter of the Year, alongside the winner of the Mayweather/Hatton fight, Kelly Pavlik if he beats Jermain Taylor, and possibly Rafael Marquez if he beats Israel Vasquez and wins another important fight by the end of the year.

Damn this is a dangerous fight to have
I like SSM and Cotto, cant say who I would want to win.. but this fight would go like SSM/DLH if SSM was still in his prime with SSM winning of course, hes still fast as holy hell though and his last 2 fights ended in TKO and it doesnt matter if it was against Vargas, it wasnt against a can so its legit. I dont have a prediction on this fight.. cant wait to see it.

I think Cotto, is going to take this fight by decision. This is just a back match up for SSM. When SSM was in his prime I would have given it to him. But now with Cotto's body attack and overall pressure, Mosley would have his work cut out for him.
However if SSM can get Cotto in trouble; then I feel he could finish him.

I think Mosley is just too damn fast. I can't really see anyone knocking Mosley out or weakening him, it just doesn't happen.
12rd easy decision.

How well Cotto's chin holds up to Mosley's power is going to be the major factor in this fight. If Cotto's chin proves solid, Mosley, even for all his speed, will still have a hard time keeping Cotto off of him, making for a close, close fight.
