I'm sure that come the end of the 1st round PBF will know he has underestimated Hattons power, but as much as i would love to see it i don't think Hatton will KO PBF. I would have my money on Hatton points victory as he will have all the aggression and possibly land the bigger shots, although saying that something in my head tells me to bet on Hatton 7th round... What ever happens tho i think we will be in for a hell of a fight and ill be 100% there.
Oh and to answer your question - yes (i hope)

I think Hatton can beat PBF but do i think he will no, but i will be pulling for Hatton to win.
I will bet Hatton will be training harder then he ever thought of for any fight. He will come in a better fighter.
PBF probably will underestimate Hatton and not train as hard.
If Hatton does beat PBF yeah i would say he would be the number 1 p4p fighter in the world

Only if Hatton somehow dominates and stops Mayweather, which is a stretch for even those who want Hatton to win to believe. Most likely, it'll be a hard-fought bout, and if Hatton wins, he'll at least make the P4P top 3. Most likely, the guy who would get moved up to #1 would be Manny Pacquiao, but that's also providing he defeats Marco Antonio Barrera two months before the Hatton/Mayweather fight.
If Hatton wins, its almost a sure thing his next fight would be mega-fight next May against Oscar de la Hoya, although personally, even though I love Oscar, I'd much prefer to see Hatton face off against Miguel Cotto to unify titles (providing Cotto beats Shane Mosley, of course). Even still, Oscar against either Hatton or Cotto, the two guys most likely to get the next chance to eat at the Golden Boy's Golden Table, would be a great fight, and if either of the two youngsters are fresh off wins over Mayweather and Mosley, respectively, it'll be Oscar's last chance, most likely, to pull a win over one of the P4P elite, redemption for the robbery he suffered (even though he helped perpetuate it) against Trinidad.

When PBF said Hatton is not that good I think it was just promotion but there is some truth to what he's saying as Hatton is very easy to hit. Don't be surprised if PBF drops Hatton a few times in the proccess.
After the first JLC fight he will not underestimate anyone, especially Hatton. Hatton has gotten under his skin and PBF has something to prove, not to mention he's a very underestimated inside fighter. He mimics James Toney when he choses to.

Hatton is far from being the #1 P4P fighter in the world

Thats nonsense. | Is the concept of P4P too hard for you to understand?
Ricky Hatton beats PBF, it doesnt make him the P4P best fighter in the world.. at best he would only rank over PBF at WW. How does it make him a P4P better fighter then EVERYONE else? when he isnt P4P better then Pacman, BHop, Winky, or Marquez? and beating PBF does not prove that he is P4P better then all of these fighters.. especially if Pacman beats Barrera. He would probably pass Winky and Marquez, but Pacman and BHop? not a chance.

anyway how you figure Hatton is far p4p anything??? i mean hes beat everyone hes faced along with pretty much every style....if he beats flloyd, who is arguably the best BOXER (technically) in all of boxing weight classes hes number 1....
you forget he knocked out the supposed best Mexican boxer/body puncher @ 140 in Castillo with a body punch of his own ( ohh yeah flloyd couldn't hurt him 24 rounds)....dont give me that bullshit Castillo is washed up shit
he also knocked the number dude in kostya while flloyd was bullshitting with gatti and sharmba Mitchell (how sadd) i honestly think flloyd was scared of kostya ( but thats just me)

The concept does suggest, though, that if the p4p #1 coming -down- a weight is soundly beaten by an opponent who is moving -up- a weight then... well... you do the math.
