| Holyfield gets Title Shot!!
Ibragimov-Chagaev off: Sultan will now defend against Holyfield!
Evander gets shot at fifth world title
After the sudden withdrawal of WBA Heavyweight Champion Ruslan Chagaev from his October 13th unification bout with WBO Heavyweight Champion Sultan Ibragimov due to undisclosed medical reasons, Seminole Warriors Boxing, Golden Boy Promotions, Main Events and Golden Grain Promotions, in association with Sampson Lewkowicz and Yuri Federov’s Sports Lab, have announced that stepping up to the plate in an attempt to win the heavyweight championship of the world for a fifth time is Evander “The Real Deal” Holyfield. Ibragimov-Holyfield sponsored by Nafta Moskva, will take place on the original date of Ibragimov-Chagaev, Saturday, October 13, at the state of the art Khodynka Arena in Moscow, Russia. Broadcast plans for the bout will be announced once they are secured.
Pretty crazy. WAR Evander!

Evander doesn't need to be in the ring against anybody, espicially a giant like Ibragimov. I agree with Dork on the 4th round stoppage. I don't wish injuries on anybody, but in this case I almost hope Evander tweaks a hamstring and has to call the fight off. IMO this fight should not happen. I'm a big boxing fan, but I will not be watching this fight.
EDIT: Got Ibragimov and Nikolai Valuev confused - I still think it's insane though.

Giant like Ibragimov? Holyfield, believe it or not, is bigger than Ibragimov. You must be thinking of Valuev. Matter of fact, this is probably Holyfield's best shot at winning one of the straps. But still, something sounds fishy about Chagaev suddenly pulling out with an illness, when the fight is still several months away. It sounds to me that either Ibragimov's people paid him off to step out in order to fight Holyfied (who's people must have gone knocking for a title fight), or considering Klitschko doesn't have anybody lined up to fight at the end of the year, his people may have paid Ibragimov off to release Chagaev from the agreement, and make a Klitschko/Chagaev fight instead.
I like Holyfield, but I was disappointed when I read about this whole thing. I really thought we would start getting some clarity in the HW division at last. Chagaev pulling out to fight Klitshcko would be the only silver lining I could see, asides from Holyfield pulling the upset.

Holyfield should NOT be boxing. The guy slurs his words and everything - I don't care if he does win. Not worth it.

I hope when he gets the piss beat out of him he leaves boxing for good. No more fights, just retires an never comes back.

if Holyfield has to keep on fighting, I would love to see him win the title here against Ibragimov. It is crazy to think the same man who was going to war with Bert Cooper about 18 years ago is still fighting though. Holyfield could beat Valuev as well, old age or not.
There's no need for clarification here, the younger Klitchko is clearly the world's best heavyweight right now. I would love to see him beat up on Chagaev.
