| Morales ROBBED!! What is wrong with boxing?
I just watched the Morales fight and the decision made me feel sick. Anyone who watched that fight knows Morales won that fight..easy! Not an easy fight but he won the rounds, and had a knockdown. The judges denied Morales to become a 4 time champ in his last fight. What a disgrace.
A living legend in the sport of boxing and this is how he is treated in his last ever fight. I love boxing but shit like this makes me want to see it go under, corrupt isnt the word. Anyone agree? I know boxing has a long history of this shit but do you ever see being stoped ?

What is corrupt about it?
it was a bad decision I agree, but you said the same thing about the RJJ Decision lol, Boxing is just a very hard sport to judge.. and Diaz stole the late rounds. I thought Morales won for sure.. and I was mad at the decision, but I dont see whats corrupt about it. I dont think the heads of boxing just woke up one morning and said fuck it lets screw over Erik Morales just because we feel like it.. wheres the motive in this being a corrupt decision?

maybe the motivation was in the betting lines somebody cashing in, lol. Naw I personally would have gave it too Morales but It was a either way fight IMO i cant see anyone doing TOO much complaining. Very close fight, shit happens.

The motivation is money, same reason anything is corrupt. I dont think that was a close fight, Morales was a far better boxer on the night. Now everyone I know agrees with me and I really dont see how anyone could of scored it by 3 rounds to Diaz! Where do they get these judges? Its not that hard a job to score a fight fairly, the judge who gave it to Diaz easily is a joke and should never be allowd to judge again

Well, respected boxing writers Kevin Iole and Dan Rafael both scored the fight for Diaz, 116-112 and 115-113 respectively. The guys on maxboxing, while scoring the fight for Morales, feel the fight was close enough where it could have gone either way and not been called a rivalry. Perhaps that's just some professional perspective. Maybe boxing fans' love of Morales would lead towards a more biased viewpoint over the unknown Diaz.
Of course, I can't comment too much since I didn't see the fight, just playing a little devil's advocate.

Diaz wins its whatever. Now we wait to see if Diaz can beat someone thatll get him pub, but the only win that would of gotten pub is from Morales.

It could have been a one time shot too make big money on just that fight alone, like i said im not sure but I would imagine Morales was the fav and Im sure most people would of bet on him so somebody could of gotten rich off of a Diazs victory.

like afro said, boxing is indeed preety hard to judge. this leaves alot of room for corruption or bad decisions. it be nice to see some of this big boxing fights end before the 12th round but i guess thats to much to ask now a days. i'm really looking forward to hatton v mayweather but knowing that it will likely end with a controversial decision takes alot from it. 12 rounds of boxing should give a preety accurate view of who the better boxer was, but thats just not the case
