I dont remember any knock downs, cuz my stream was fucked up, but the fight was more of a dance contest. It did not live up to any hype, shouldnt have been on ppv. I was just expecting a fight like the first one. Instead we got ballerinas with gloves in this fihgt.

Think about it, Boxing has had some really great fights this year. Pavlik's last 2 fights, PBF vs DLH, and prospects like Berto, Andre Ward. Ricky Hatton has had a great year.
Boxing is doing just fine

Boxing is doing just fine | 60K are going to see Hatton vs PBF, so I dont see the funk either.. Boxing is great for boxing fans, MMA is great for MMA fans, if your a fan of both then your sittin' happy. Its only the people who just wanna argue that like to say Boxing is dead, or MMA sucks, and start up the whole MMA vs Boxing thing.

You can't say that about manny. The entire 12 rounds pacman was aggressive and wanted to trade with barrera. All barrerra did was try to survive for 12 rounds. There were no knockdowns but barrera got a huge cut on the cheeck claiming it was from a head butt which is bs.

It was more of a tactical fight. Barrera was circling around, running from Pacquiao, and I guess it's safe to say that the tempo of the fight favored Barrera, but still, Manny dominated him. That goes to show Manny has improved through the years.
It was still a lousy fight though, although I can't blame Pac because Barrera was running around like he was playing circle around the bush.

I keep hearing conflicting views on the Pac/MAB fight, but from what I hear from a lot of writers and most casual fans is that the fight was good, but Barrera kept running, trying not to get KO'd, while Manny was trying to bring the fight. But you know, every once in a while, you will get a not-so-exciting Pacquiao fight, so this was probably it.
I actually watched the Peter/McCline fight (as I had no one to watch the PPV with and I didn't want to pay all that money), and that was a good fight. I have to disagree with dork though, Peter clearly won that fight. McCline won 2, maybe 3 rounds, it just so happened he scored his 3 knockdowns within 2 rounds. Peter didn't look his best, but you have to remember that McCline wasn't exactly a "10-day notice fighter"; he had already been training to fight Vitali Klitschko before Vitali pulled out. McCline was in shape. Peter hadn't fought since January. Still, that was fairly shocking to me, but don't everybody go saying that all of a sudden Maskaev beats Peter based on one fight. Everybody has an off-night, and I myself was rather impressed with Peter's heart and resilience. He picked himself off the canvas and outhustled McCline to win that fight, not unlike the way Pavlik survived a KO scare against Taylor to eventually win the fight by KO himself. Peter is still a big favorite against Maskaev.
