Former WBA Welterweight Champion Ricardo Mayorga is training here at the Main American Top Team Academy in Coconut Creek, Florida in preperation for his upcoming bout.

Ricardo stopped into our gym the other day and was very pleased with everything he saw. He will be here training with us daily until his training camp breaks at the end of November.

He is schedule to take on Fernando Vargas Nov. 23rd at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.
This fight is scheduled for 12 rounds in the middleweight division and will be shown liv on Showtime PPV.

I hope to get some pictures up int he next day or two of Ricardo working out and sparring.

Why is it that I would NOT, in the least bit, be surprised if I see Ricardo Mayorga in an MMA cage/ring in the coming years? Oh yea, Ray Mercer.
