| Vargas vs Mayorga
Any thoughts?
Seems like this one stayed under the radar in the media. Although they did exchange some punches at the press conference.
I think Mayorga will win but I don't know either boxers really well.

***SPOILER***
For those who wanna know the outcome.
Mayorga retires Vargas!
Drops 'El Feroz' twice in majority decision
By Francisco Salazar and Edgar Gonzalez at ringside
In his best performance in years, Ricardo "El Matador" Mayorga (28-6-1, 22 KOs) sent "Ferocious" Fernando Vargas (26-5, 22 KOs) into retirement with a twelve round majority decision on Friday night at STAPLES Center in Los Angeles. Mayorga tried to bum rush Vargas early and was clearly winning the round when he dropped Vargas at the end of round one. Mayorga wobbled Vargas again in round two. Vargas was cut over the right eye as both fighters landed big shots in the third. Vargas seemed to be coming on in the fourth round as Mayorga's aggressions became less frequent. Good two-way action in the fifth and sixth. Mayorga had a big round seven, but Vargas came back in the eighth. More good two-way action until Mayorga dropped Vargas again at the end of the eleventh. Round twelve was close. Scores were 114-112, 115-111 Mayorga, 113-113.

Hah! Fantastic. I fucking hate Fernando Vargas. The most overrated fighter of his era. He justifies his being a loser by saying he's a proud latino warrior or someshit, but he's always been the worst type of loudmouth: the one that can't ever back it up.
And tonight, he met his fucking match - Both as a loudmouth, and a mediocre boxer, Ricardo Mayorga put that loser to rest. Normally I'd have no real reason to like Mayorga, but he finally gave Vargas a taste of his own medicine. A fellow latino belittling him the whole way up to the fight, questioning his manhood, and then doing to Vargas what Vargas never did to his opponent on the big stage: winning.
And he called Vargas a fatty, hahah.

Vargas really sucks, i mean imo he should have beat Ricardo but he is again imo pretty sad that he did not. It is sad to see a boxer his age that washed up.
Anyway Mayorga will get beat imo by any top fighter in most weight classes
