Emanuel Augustus/Emanuel Burton. Floyd Mayweather said it was the hardest fight he has ever been him.
Mickey Ward....love those liver shots.
Sonny Liston, for being a huge bad ass mofo.
Jack Johnson, for having a crazy story and life and changed boxing forever. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_Johnson_%28boxer%29
Another old timer, Archie Moore - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia , I didn't know too much about. Boxer turned actor (played runaway slave Jim in Huck Finn) Archie also has the most career knockouts by any boxer, at 131.
The last couple years I've been reading up and watching a lot of old boxers.....so crazy back then. Wet leather gloves, drugging fighters, crocked cities, judges, commissioners and suspicious deaths.

Jake LaMotta for me just a character and I have a soft spot for scrappers who just go in there and never go down, and just keep on surging forward. He was an awesome fighter with a huge heart.

I love technical boxing and the art of the jab.
Holmes is the one I most identify with as he's had to deal with being crapped on his whole life for who he isn't rather than who he is, and that everything he has was earned the hard way.

mike tyson....the guy was just simply captivating, with whatever he did......most people stereotype him as a dumb thug because of his out of the ring drama and personal issues, but when you listen to him speak, hes very eloquent and knows what hes talking about....and i do think that in his prime he couldve sold out madison square garden while masterbating......haha....
