DeLahoya vs. Pacquiao?? Boxing News -- 24 hours/day - Reload often! Quote:
This would be pretty interesting. |
No, no, no, NO, NO!!!!! This fight is exactly what's fucking wrong with boxing these days! God damn it, there's better guys for both guys to fight to make tons of money in and around their divisions to begin with! What the hell!? The year started really good man, bad ass, meaningful fights were being made, culminating in September with the Casamayor/Marquez, Campbell/Guzman, and Diaz/Katsidis fights, and of course highlighted by Cotto/Margarito, and what the hell do we end up with in the last part of the year!? Friggin' Mosley/Mayorga on PPV, Pavlik practically being arm-twisted into moving up to Winkyweight (170) to fight old man Hopkins, and this shit!? Fuck!!!!!!! Can't Oscar just wait for Cotto at least? Couldn't he at least be the one to move up to middleweight to face Pavlik, and let Pavlik defend his belts? Couldn't Pacquiao at least fight Soto or Valero in November instead of being lined up to get tooled by a MUCH larger Oscar? Fucking hell, I knew the cold war between Top Rank and Golden Boy had thawed to the point where good fights were getting made, but this is straight up circle jerking right here. And I'm a huge Oscar fan here, but this is absolute bullshit! I can't fucking stand the shit he's been doing this past year, or trying to do! I simply can't defend him anymore, but the sooner he retires, the better for everyone, seriously. Same goes for Hopkins. All I know is that I had better be hearing that Pacquiao/Campbell or Pacquiao/Marquez III and Pavlik/Abraham are guaranteed to take place early next year, if I have to put up with this faggotry that is taking place in my favorite sport. |
i'd like to see dlh and cotto go at it. it would be bitter sweet for me...seeing dlh lose would suck, but seeing cotto take the next step towards greatness would be cool |
Pacquiao/Campbell would be fucking excellent - I would seriously shell out fifty bucks to see that, man. But yea, I don't see why this would happen. Maybe they'd look to surpass the numbers the Mayweather-De La Hoya fight made. De La Hoya's big on numbers. |
I think they will wait for the results of the Cotto/Margarito fight before making any desicions. But I would mind watching Manny and Oscar. |
De La Hoya is done, After the fight with Forbes I was not impressed. It was a sparring session. He has fought the best and for that he get my respect but DLH doesnt have the power to hurt these guys(pac or cotto). He will put up a fight in the early rounds but it will be typical DLH, goes into later rounds he gets tired and the decision is for pac or cotto or they may even KO him. I like DLH but he needs to hang it up. Lets see some fights where we dont know who is going to win. |
