Stallone to Boxing HOF....Thoughts???

I'm in favor of his induction.

The IBHOF has areas for Observers and Non-participants and that's where Stallone, Bert Sugar, Larry Merchant, and Leroy Neiman are all honored.

Agree, his actings in the Rocky films are epic.

I suppose. I believe his Rocky films, while unrealistic from a boxing perspective, did alot for the sport. I know that it likely got me interested in it.

Years later we had the Ward vs Gatti fights which all reminded us of the fighting spirit engendered in Stallone's movies.

It's retarded. He's not a boxer, or commentator. He's a actor.

And Leroy Neiman is a painter, Bert Sugar is writer, and Larry Merchant is a moron.

I think the people who have made strong CONTRIBUTIONS to the sport should be memorialized and Stallone's portrayal does just that.

He's not being put into the boxers wing of the HOF so I'm fine with this. If his plaque is up on a wall next to Muhammad Ali's or Rocky Marciano's plaque then I would have a problem with it, but since it won't be it's fine.

I agree. I even think Carl Weathers (Apollo Creed) should eventually get some credit as well. He was definitely one of my all time favorite movie characters.
