If Tyson ever does get in trouble with the tax man again, hopefully he will step up and fight Kimbo. I think Tyson today (after a good 6 months of gym work) would be a decent fight for Kimbo...but Tyson won't do it.
I never, ever, ever see Kimbo fighting for any belt...but he can still sell out a crowd, and I think that Butterbean would be a good manager. Get him fighting in toughman contest and beat a bunch of bums.
Tyson was an exception. And today, Tyson and Evander would have a real hard time in the HW division.
There are a lot more huge HWs today. Sure, Tyson was lightning quick, but today there are a dozen fighters that he would matchup against horribly.
I would like to see what Kimbo would do against a fighter like a David Haye or a Chris Byrd....someone without the best KO power, but a ton of stamina and speed and footwork and movement.....but I think Haye would work him and pitter patter a jab in his face keep moving while making Kimbo's horrible footwork and movement look laughable.
To be honest, I doubt Kimbo will ever fight top 20 HW or Cruiserweight boxer....but who knows...rankings in boxing are so fucked. David Tua is listed as number 3 contender according to the WBO....yet he isn't even listed in the top 15 according to IBF, WBA and WBC.
Only way I see Kimbo beating a top 15 guy is if Andrew Golotta gets ranked top 15, then fights Kimbo and throws the fight....or repeatedly low blows Kimbo giving him the win.

I don't get how anyone can serioulsy predict a match between Haye and Kimbo.
Haye is a world class boxer who recently went to the distance against Klitschko and did a good fight. Kimbo is a former street bouncer, failed MMA fighter that now made his boxing debut and KOd some bum in 10 seconds and people already want to see him fight David Haye. LMAO
I have actually read that Badr Hari wants to make his boxing debut, even Hari would be a more acceptable fight for Kimbo, though we all know that Hari would hurt him really bad and KO him in the 1st minute of the 1st round.

Good to hear Gary Shaw in an interview say he's going to build Kimbo up at a sensible rate. People can mock the fact he's fighting an 0-2 30yr old fighter, but if you're going to start afresh in a sport like boxing...so many others have had a similar start.
I just think he's too old to start rebuilding his name as a boxer.

Butterbean has better punching power and technique, although mobility is his weak spot, nonetheless I see nothing in Kimbo to even assume he can be the king of the 4 rounders lol.

I think it's safe to say you have no idea what good striking looks like.
