With as many PPVs not only MMA but pro wrestling (ECW I will buy, anything WWE I could care less) and boxing having a bunch of PPVs coming up, I doubt I get this one. It's structured much like the OWGP was, where the first round on paper doesn't look ALL that good (don't get me wrong it looks great but considering the names involved the matchmaking could have been better, but for business reasons this card makes sense) but after the first round is over the remaining field will be so good there will be no way the next round will be anything but an amazing card from top to bottom.

I'll definitely be ordering this event. I've ordered all the Bushido's from 3 on to now. I know some of the match-ups are one sided, but it should still be entertaining. I order all UFC and Pride events. I get WEC events with my HDNet, so that's always good too. I'll definitely be ordering the WFA event also. Now if K-1 Hero's would start showing their events on US PPV, I would be pretty much set with my MMA fix.

They have them on their website, where you can order them on next day delay. My PPV provider hasn't had a ROTR in quite awhile though. InDemand isn't all that good. They didn't even show the Bushido 9 PPV till 2 months after it happened. I had to go over to my friend's and watch it on Direct TV

Yeah REALLY lengthy delays like that in the PPV market are so stupid. OK, so maybe the logic is it doesn't matter if the die-hard fan base won't be interested in the card since it's been over for so long anyways and we'll just do business because the casual audience who likes violence and fighting will still order because it's a fight card. OK that's all fine and well, but when you spend time on the PPV promoting up someone and putting your money and precious PPV time into, then because it's been two months or half a year so much shit could happen. The guy you spent time centering the PPV around could have jumped ship by now, lost a bunch and not be worth the advertising you put into him. Really, if you can't get your show on PPV until 6 months after it's held live, there's no point in wasting the money I don't think. Maybe I'm missing something here, and I easily could be, I just don't see the mindset behind something like that.

I think you hit it on the head with the casual audiance thing. They are probably trying to pull in the common fan that only know UFC and show them something different. Also it could be they don't have the resources to pull off a live show or they can't fit it all in the PPV time slot, so they have to edit the shit out of it. The only reason I ordered the ROTR PPV was to see BJ Penn fight, because it had been a bit since I had seen him. Also I just wanted to get the feel for the ROTR.

Most of those type shows unless they have a card like WFA's coming up, or if Strikeforce was on PPV, if it's a one or two fight card (not like UFC's, because of TV even their undercard has people you know) where the rest of the card is absolute nobodies from whatever town the show is at, I just wait for those to get on the torrent tracker type sites, which is usually the same night it airs or the very next day. UFC, PRIDE, and boxing though I can't even wait the few hours or full day to see on the torrent sites, too much of a "big event feel" for me not to be experiencing it live on PPV.

I had a question . Pride doesnt test for roids right? If they do than Baroni and Coleman how they pass the test is beyond me
