Kongo would demolish CHuck, Chuck would be a small HW if he moved anywhere close to 230 he would have some serious cardio problems, I dont see him beating guys like Kongo and HArdonk who are natural HWs with much better striking
Big Nogs same goes for him, Gonzaga would just be way too big for Chuck, VEra.. hes a small HW id give him a chance but Vera is a better striker at HW Then Chuck would be,
AA would be the WORST matchup for Chuck at HW, hes a 240 dude that hits like a mack truck, with much much cleaner striking then Chuck I would NOT wanna see that fight at all

I think he could 'Hang' with gonzaga, big nog and cro cop, with GG and Nog being the bigger problems for him, just my two cents | Yea, he would beat Couture, but IMO Couture right now is probably the number 4 or 5 HW in the UFC. Big Nog, GG, Cro-Cop, AA, and Werdum would all beat Couture. I think Couture just had the perfect gameplan and fought the perfect fight against Syliva. I think all the other HWs give him much more problems because they all have a bigger tool box then Syliva.
Liddell would have a hell of time with a guy like Kongo or AA. He have seen a couple of times what happens when guys go after Liddell (Allistar, Rampage 2x, Mezger, White) he has problems with those guys. AA and Kongo are both a lot bigger and hit a lot harder then all of those guys. Herring could stand toe to toe with Liddell and perhaps beat him. Werdum would have a tougher time with Liddell, but he could hold his own with him. O'Brien would prob ably get KTFO by Liddell. Big Nog, Cro-Cop and Gonzaga would all beat Liddell handly.
Syliva would give Liddell a tough long fight too. For a guy that likes to stand like Liddell, you know have the problem of fighting a guy with an 86 inch reach that just jab you to death. Liddell isnt like Couture and wouldnt try to bring the fight to the ground. Syliva love him or hate him, would eat most guys alive that try to stand with him.

I Would of said that Tim Sylvia would give Chuck hell if it wasnt for Tims chin, and the past 2 fights he was gettin tagged by Monson, rocked by Couture
I consider Chuck/Randy to be 50/50 at HW.. we gotta be real, the Randy now is in an entirely diff mindset then the Randy that fought Chuck those two times.

But as far as other HW contenders go im gonna have to stick with my guns, granted kongo and aa are good strikers, but how can you be sure they hit harder then liddel? And lets be honest the last time AA knocked someone out was sylvia aa 2(If you wanna count the punch before the heelhook)
Im not saying he doesnt have crazy KO power, cuz he does, i just think chuck shows it more then aa. And ive been hearing alot about kongos standup but to be honest it really hasnt impressed me that much,I think ive only seen him finish one or two fights. And ive seen a few of Herrings fights and I wouldnt put him along the ranks of Randy,CC,AA, Big Nog or GG.
But for sure Big nog, GG and CC would most likely put a hurten on chuck

A big guy with a very good ground game and heavy hands (Barrnet, Ricco). He moved down to LHW to avoid those kind of guys. If Couture takes him down, Gonzaga can submit him from his back, and if he stands with him Gonzaga is a punch, knee or kick away from ending the fight at any moment. Look at last night's poll from TUF 5, even the causal fans think that Gonzaga is going to beat to Couture. Gonzaga, unlike Syliva, has too many things that Couture is going to have to worry about, which in the end I think is going to cost him the fight.
Big Nog IMO would run through Couture. Werdum would give Couture the same problems Gonzaga would on the ground. AA and Cro-Cop both hit like a truck and both could KO Couture. So yea, I think Couture is the number 5 HW right now in the UFC.
Big Nog
Gonzaga
Cro-Cop
AA
Couture/Werdum
I also think Herring would give Couture a hell of a time in a fight and perhaps beat him.

Kongo has a great striking background and hes shown it in his fights, same as Hardonk.
Im sure they dont all hit harder then Liddell, except for AA but theres a helluva lot more to striking then just hitting hard. Quote: |

I got Couture winning by TKO to be honest.

Especially Herring -- not a chance. But as I said, we'll see soon enough if Randy can beat GG at least. He's a very smart fighter and I have alota faith in him.
