Martial artists/fighters roll call!

I'm the wrong person to start this thread, but I was curious. I know Seth Petruzelli posts here and I know he's a full out MMA fighter. Who on this board is a MMA fighter? Who on this board has LEGIT martial arts experience (I.E. - not just wrestling in high school...well unless you did some big things) like are you an amateur wrestler, do you take professional kickboxing classes, do you compete in grappling tourney's, etc.

ROLL CALL! Who's a martial artist/fighter here at MMANews?! Me, I have never once professionally trained with anyone at anything. I've done some at-home tapes and shit from Bas Rutten, but that's the closest thing to pro training in any field I've ever had.

Wow, that's cool.

I have an ex-girlfriend who does Tae Kwon Do. She's a black belt and won in her class in the Junior Olympics a few years ago. I didn't know her back then, but I always thought it was cool that I was banging a gold medalist for a while without even knowing it.

Griffin is scheduled for the upcoming card featuring the next round of the Bushido WW GP. No opponent announced yet. Also making PRIDE debut on that same card is Gilbert Melendez, the Strikeforce lightweight champion.

I trained 10 yrs in Ish-in-Ryu Karate when i was younger. Went through CCIC with the USMC and have been training the last 8 months in Machado BJJ and Kung Foo San Soo. I do it more for the exercise, experience and fun than to compete. Would love to compete once before i hit forty just to see how i fare but doubt that would happen. it has all come in handy in a couple scrapes at bars and shit.
