| Top 10 Featherweight Jeff 'The Big Frog' Curran to WEC
This is awesome news. Curran may not have a big profile just yet, but he holds quality wins over some of the top 145lb guys, including Shooto #1 contender Antonio Carvalho. http://www.sherdog.com/fightfinder/f...?FighterID=770 Quote: WEC continues to bolster Featherweight division June 5th, 2007 by Sam Caplan
Jeff Curran, who has fought for the IFL, King of the Cage, and the UFC (once, losing to Matt Serra) has left a post under his official account on the Underground forum at MMA.tv that he has signed with the WEC and will compete as a featherweight (145 pounds).
The 29-year old has a record of 27-8-1 with notable wins over Jason Dent, Charles “Krazy Horse” Bennett, and Kevin English.
Curran’s announcement comes on the heels of Monte Cox saying on Sherdog Radio on Monday that current UFC lightweight Jens Pulver will be moving to the WEC to compete in their featherweight division.
The man known as “Big Frog” has his sights set on WEC featherweight champion Urijah Faber, according to his post on the UG forum:
Finally, a world-recognized show with a 145lb division. I have my exclusive contract and am 100% ready to take all comers in the 145. Can’t wait for Faber.
The WEC obviously isn’t going to let Faber rest on his laurels as it appears they are trying to upgrade his competition in the 145 pound division.

Great news. Beefing up this division is going to pay huge dividends for the WEC.

Curran fights alot and does have some quality wins, but when does the guy ever finish anyone?
most of his fights are decisions, where in which he fights with a good gameplan, but relatively un-eventful

i just don't find him very exciting, i saw him win a decision against Wagney Fabiano in which he won only because of who he was, still kinda bitter i guess, lol
