"Believe it or not, at this moment we still don't have any confirmation on Bas Rutten's opponent for tomorrow night's WFA show after Kimo failed a steroid test. Wes Sims was said to be flying into Los Angeles today and we've also heard the name Ruben Villareal thrown around. I guess we'll have to know within a few hours. The last info we have which is as of 2 p.m. Pacific time is that the decision will be final in one hour, and it is Villareal if everything gets cleared by the commission. We will update if we hear anything more, but the weigh-in is just a few hours away so they have to have it locked up very shortly. There was also an issue with Ricco Rodriguez last night, which we're not clear of. At one point it looked like he was off the show, but the last word we have is that he is fighting Ron Waterman tomorrow."
Has fought: Don Frye, Antonio Silva, Ricco Rodriguez, Dan Bobish, Andre Roberts, Bobby Hoffman, Travis Wiuff, and Dan Severn (lost all those fights except for drawing with Frye and Roberts)
i can't believe that no one has thrown out ken shamrock's name. him and bas have fought a few times in pancrase and i think ken has the most wins, 2-1 on him. i don't think ken is exclusive to UFC either and probably thinks he can beat bas, so i'm surprised he's not trying to redeem himself by jumping into the fight.

oh man, warpath has fought in kotc a bunch and over at cage warriors (he was on a card with the pointon/bisping match and a monson match). he's pretty awful. i really hope that he isn't fighting bas because it'll be ugly and not in the bas will blow him out of the water ugly... bas will still blow him out of the water, though.
actually, now that i'm looking at the cagewarriors card, pele's replacement martin kampman is on that card too. intersting coincidence if warpath actually takes that wfa fight.
Paul Buentello said he was down to do it, even though his daughter's birthday is this weekend. I wish the WFA would give Paul a call. I'd much rather see him than Villareal.
