i completely agree with palma.... this forum sometimes acts like its bigger than the fights or the fighters. Some fights, fighters and ppvs are heavily over criticized.
We are fans of MMA, and now we ask sometimes for too much. I watched the ppv like a normal fan of mma and these r the things that I was glad I saw.
1) I'm a fan of marcus davis, it was good to see him get a tko
2) I'm glad that jason macdonald bounced back with a win, although his first round was weak
3) Ed herman put on a good show
4) the tyson griffin fight was really good with a bad decision but still an exciting fight!
5) forrest griffin in my mind was the star of the night. I"m not even a big fan of him, but he bounced back perfectly from a loss. He didn't go and just brawl, he technically picked apart ramirez and imo did it an exciting way
6) the franklin-okami fight had 2 weak rounds but the last round was exciting and honestly 90% of the fighers would have tapped out to okami's kimura but franklin showed great heart (i was standing for that part)
7) Irish fans are great... loved them in the forrest fight
overall i enjoyed the ppv and i'm not just going to compare it to the previous cards or the 2 loaded cards ahead of us

Griffin v Guida was great
Herman v Smith was solid (and bloody for people who love that)
Forrest v Ramirez was average, Ramirez seemed very uncomfortable with the NEW Forrest. It looked like Ramirez was waiting for him to start charging the whole fight.
Franklin v Okami, Franklin showed great defense, and a strong clinch. He controlled most of the fight & escaped full mount, and a devastating kimura in the 3rd Round (ended up on top out of the kimura btw).
Marcus Davis v Tann, Davis has heavy hands, everbody knew it... and so does Tann now.
McDonald v Singer, Singer actually impressed me that first round, but McDonald wound up where I figured he would.
I didn't mind this card at all

After thinking about Palma wrote, I can somewhat see his point.
MMA isn't the WWE so you can't always control who is in line to face another nor can you control how exciting a card can be.
Announcements are cool because we're on the cusp of some exciting things with the Pride acquisition.
Sounds like Palma is afraid to see MMA turning to circus that wrestling became with the WWE. Can't blame him if that the case.

And jack asses like this only care about the new information and not about the fights. This isn't fucking emo music; I don't care about how much new information you know about. If you aren't into the fights then who fucking cares? | Wow, it's amazing how many assholes are on this forum now. Back like a year ago it was good, we had some arguments, but less assholes. We had good conversation and interesting ideas comming from the posters
It's too bad that now we have to deal with hyped up people that act like bullies. Dude why does it matter so much why a person that has nothing to do with you wants to watch a UFC PPV. Who really cares? why are you so personally offended by this guy wanting to know if there were any announcements. The problem with MMA is fans like you who think you think that it can only be one way and that if not then it's wrecking the sport.
Get over yourself.

But other than the fights....no big announcements (Wand, Shogun)? Any of the fighters say anything interesting in the post-fight with Rogan? Fill me in a bit if ya would. | Don't let losers get on your case. I understand where you are comming from, you are just interested in knowing if anything interesting was said about future UFC PPV's or new UFC fighters comming in.
The UFC PPV's are all about the fighters and fights, but that doesn't mean that other interesting things said between the fights don't happen.

Get over yourself. | Well all can say Dominus is bitchy fags like you stick up for eachother. It's amazing how someone can make such a long post and still say nothing and have no point to it. You are bullshit. And have you ever heard of not double posting?
