Drago Signs Three Fight Deal With PRIDE, Faces Zentsov On 7/1?

Dream Stage Entertainment has inked hard hitting heavyweight prospect Edson Drago to a three fight deal.

The Brazilian knockout artist became heavily sought after following his five second knockout of Georgian wrestling star Tengiz Tedoradze at Cage Rage 16 in April. It was previously reported that Brazilian Top Team head Mario Sperry told Drago he could fight on July 1st at PRIDE's Saitama Super Arena event, but Drago was hesitant to make a decision, as he was entertaining offers from both the Ultimate Fighting Championship and Cage Rage.

Heaveyweight.If I was him I'd of chose the UFC less competition.

you go to pride because they pay you ten times more then the ufc. sure he may do better in the ufc but the three fight deal in pride is worth more then he would get in 20 fights in the ufc. also hes not gonna get any big sponsors in the ufc because hes from brazil. if he beats zentsov decisevly then hes right up there with the upper half of the pride hw division and will get some big fights after that. its a tough test for his first fight in pride but a good one.

Good Point but why not be the best where you go... i mean he wouldnt beat a brandon vera in UFC but hell atleast hes got a fighters chance :P

drago has fought and beaten better fighters then vera and trains with one of the top two or three teams in mma. the truth is unproven and sure he has looked good but until he beats A.Silva he hasnt done anything. right now drago is a better and more proven fighter. the guy hes fighting would also destroy vera at this point.
