Default Greatest KO in mma?
I know this is gonna sound green, but I've been re-reading my dog-eared copy of Clyde Gentry's book "No Holds Barred" (if you haven't, you should!).

In chapter 17 he writes about the fight in Extreme Fighting 4 between Maurice Smith & Murakami Kazunari & describes Smith's KO of Kazunari as the hardest punch landed in mma. The punch reportedly spun Kazunari around & paralyzed him for over 2 hours after the fight ended.

Anyways, my point is that this is one KO I've really want to see for years & never got the chance, as well as Vitor Belfort knocking the crap out of Jon Hess. I don't even know if they were recorded or not.

I'm sure there are others out there but has anyone seen these fights?

Man, you are a LEGEND!!!

You have no idea how much I waited to see these & yes they were both awesome. Shame the Vitor video wasn't better quality, but it didn't bother me that much.

i wouldnt say its the best ko in mma but one of my favorites is belfort vs silva..he landed so many shots and just knocked him clear across the ring

I'm sure everyone has their favorite, but I'd say Vitor's over Hess was better than his over Silva, purely cos Hess was a cheating bully fucker & he got his ass caned by a 15 year old kid.

i think rich franklin's ko on nate quarry was awesome. that and melvin guillard's ko at ufc 60. i don't know if they're classic status yet, but great nonetheless
