I started to get pissed about this article and it occured to me this is propaganda. The writer of this article was compeled to write it because there is concern in the boxing world that it could get over taken. Its vulnerable because of all the corrupt garbage that runs the sport. They have problems and they know it thats why someone even bothered to write an article downgrading mma. If he really felt this way he would not have writen it. Truth is he wrote this scared.

I may get some crap for this ,but I find boxing very boring.I used to watch it when I was younger ,but it was only good if the fight was really hyped up(like Mike Tyson's fights)I don't know how boxing can criticize a sport for being un safe considering in boxing people die and get brain damage and all kinds of other serious injuries which has never happened in the 13 year history of the UFC.Boxing is one of the most corrupt sports out there and should work on fixing itself rather than worring about the UFC.MMA is soon going to surpass boxing as the number one contact sport in America and there scared.Everyone knows who Tim Sylvia and Fedor is ,but how many people know Chris Byrd, Vitali Klitschko,or John Ruiz?

I'm sorry bud, but I got to disagree on that.

You mention the name Klitschko to most sport fans & they'll tell you he's a boxer. You say Fedor & very few will have a clue who he is.

You & the guy who wrote this article are pretty much making the same point, but from differnet perspectives (don't worry you're not alone) & frankly you're both wrong. MMA will never bury boxing & boxing will never bury mma.

boxing - mma two totally different sports each with a loyal fan base. I personally enjoy both. I don't think either will ruin or run the other out of business. Having said that i do see mma gaining popularity and one day surpassing boxing in terms of popularity but boxing will never die and there will always be hardcore fans and new fans of both sports in years to come..
