"Chuck Zito was on Howard Stern today trying to get a $1 million payday to do an MMA fight. Zito is 53, and claims he's not good on the ground but that none of these MMA fighters have good head movement or body punches and he can take them out standing. He claims to have talked with Dana White. He also said he's talked with World Extreme Cagefighting. Well, I'm sure he has, but Vince McMahon would really be the one for him to talk with these days. He claimed he would draw the all-time record PPV buy rate if he fought. Everyone has their moments of being delusional. Zito is best known in fighting for punching out Jean Claude Van Damm in a bar fight."


That dude is clueless. For a guy who has been to a ton of UFC's like he has, and walks with Arturo Gatti to the ring in boxing, I thought he was actually an educated fight fan. I guess he's still a street tough guy who don't realize that MMA is actually a sport and that he'd get fucking destroyed, especially at age 53. And he wouldn't be breaking any PPV buyrate records either.

That's as far as anyone needs to read, this is obviously a stunt to make a quick payday.

Exactly...that's what most mma fans are gonna say...How can you set a PPV buy record if most people don't know who the fuck he is. The only way that happens is if the UFC loads the card with Pride, KOTC, and legends of UFC. That's the only way that guy sets a record.

Having said that, I will say that Chuck is a bad-ass, but most people on the Stern show just BS about shit and make jokes.

He was in the Hells Angels gang. He was also a cast member on Oz on HBO. Some other stuff. He's a celebrity, just not a major one.

Well if you mention his name to a random person they probley wont know who he is. But if you mention that stuff or ask if they ever heard of the bodyguard to beat up Van Dam they might know what your talking about.
