Nothin at all against GSP, he seems like a real class act, BUT Hughes is gonna take this one, I dont know but I dont think anyone in that Division in the UFC are gonna take that title from him.

Lots of people have gone broke betting against matt hughes in the past. The guy always finds a way to win. GSP very well could win this fight, he's great, but i think hughes will turn the tide of the fight with a big slam and get the mount and choke GSP out.

GSP whooped Penn's ass in that fight it showed on the replay like 100000 times that bj got one lucky greazing shot to the nose and a eye poke in the first round, after that it was all GSP!! and bj penn is a very tough top contender, i personally beileve that penn would beat hughes in a rematch and GSP is going to win his rematch against hughes,i aint taking nothing away from hughes hes an excelent well rounded fighter and this fight deffinatly has what it takes to be one of the best this year but im pulling for GSP, canada all the way!!

As many other people have said, GSP, has faced better competition lately compared to Hughes, and you can see him get better with each fight. Yes, the Penn fight was close, but I think he went in with the thought of, don't make any stupid mistakes, and he didnt make any, and BJ was clearly looking for that one mistake. Also, lets not forget, if Hughes doesn't get the submission at the end of round 1 in their first fight, GSP is winning that round.
Both these guys are easily in my top 10 favorite fighters so it's hard for me to pick a winner, bit in the end, I think GSP fights a cautious, steady fight, and wins in a war of attrition. That being said, he needs to be more convincing then he was against Penn, because to become champ, you need to win CLEARLY. I cannot wait for this fight, it should have happened sooner.

I tend to agree with you that GSP will beat Hughes, but I see it more of a war than an overwhelming first round GSP victory. I think Hughes may be able to take him down early in the fight but GSP's conditioning and take down defense will allow him to keep the fight standing later on... and no way Hughes wins on his feet. GSP by TKO in the 3rd!

In the first fight GSP took Hughes down and everyone was stunned. I wouldnt be suprised to see Georges do it again and ground and pound his way to a victory. If he cant we know Matt hughes doesn't like being on bottom and may give up his back like against BJ.

It's hard to bet against Matt at this point in his career, but I think GSP is just the man to upset him.
Regardless of who wins it will be an exciting fight...I kinda wonder what happens to GSP if he loses though...He's so much better than most of the WW division that he can't really work his way up. Would be nice to see him win and than have hughes fight penn with the winner getting a rematch with GSP.

It's a very tough call. I think this has potential to be fight of the year. GSP is one of my favourites, but I'm also a Matt Hughes fan.
Both are at the top of the WW division, but my gut tells me GSP takes it. Then it'd probably be Hughes vs. Penn with the winner getting the rematch with St. Pierre.
