Simply this: Franklin dropped down to a smaller weight class without dropping any permanent weight. He basically wanted to bully a weight class. it has nothing to do with their fighting style.

actually there isnt. They simply cut the weight for the weight-in and then put it back on before the fight.

You say Franklin wanted to bully a weight class? Hughes drops 20-25 pounds to fight at 70. Tito, chuck , Randy G.S.P and most fighters drop 15-20 pounds to fight, does that make them a bully? NO it makes them smart! To be the bigger stronger guy in a fight can make a world of difference, so before you open your mouth, you should know what your talking about.

Yep makes them a bully. A bully wants to be the "bigger, stronger guy in a fight". Before you type (because if you're hearing voices then you have a whole other set of problems), you should think about what is being said. Personally I'd rather see weigh-ins the same day as the fight. But it'll never happen.

Thank you supermark. This guy is acting like this is a dick measuring contest and not a profession. The guys do everything within the rules to improve their odds of winning. If it was all about the challenge of the fight they would toss some lions in the ring and make it like it was with the gladiators.
