it makes absolutely no business sense for them to blow their wad that way with so many headlining-type fights on a single card.

I would prefer to see a series of fights of each organisations top contenders. I mean think about there are some really good fighters in each division and there are some really good up and comers in each division. Let them fight it out on a card with two title holders as the main event. That would be an awesome card and over the course of a year we would see which org top to bottom has the best fighters. Thoughts???

Agreed - although a year is not enough time to discover who the better org is imo.

Example - Arlovski vs Sylvia. Even if the big fights were trippled, and all the undercards fought three times too (can't be bothered with the maths - 1,000,000+ fights maybe?) the issue would still be debateable and a matter of opinion for the most part. That's what makes this so great though - that we will have results to debate with, and also that UFC fans will be consistently exposed to Pride & vise versa.

git.

You have to remember the average UFC fan has no idea about pride, so it would turn out where they spend a ton of money on headline fighters all in one event and then not get enough PPV buys to warrent that many headliners

Baroni is not going to be able to juice in this fight , so I wouldnt count on him doing much unless he fights a TUF fighter.
