Vera should be ranked #3 IMO at UFC HW, he would give Monson a very difficult time and should be able to win that match. Vera has a huge arsonal of weapons. I have seem some if his wrestling matches and he snatched up this guy and suplexed him, then the guy shot in for a takedown, Vera cought him in a gillotuine, picked him up by his head in the gilloutine (was not one solid motion either, he yanked this guy up in the air about a foot or 2), kept him suspended in air for a second or 2 and then suplexed him. He is very very strong and extremely quick, do not let his slinder build fool you.

Well, Monson will likely get a tittle shot vs Sylvia (he does deserve it) but I don't think Monson will overcome the height and reach advantage so from a fans point of view, I would much rather watch Vera vs Sylvia but that probably won't happen for a while. I think Vera is ready for stiffer competition, he needs to fight AA, Monson, Sylvia or Mir next (Mir had better be in better shape or he will be owned very quickly). So really as long as Vera fights one of those people next I am happy though it is UFC so who knows what Dana is going to do but I hope UFC 62 is a bust so that they don;t ever feel like they can get away with putting together one of the worst cards in UFC history. I really don't undertand it, after that horrid UFC 61 that looked pretty good on paper and now they are serving up some trash that even looks bad on paper.
