Yes that was Igor, it was one of the early Pride's #5-#10 somewhere in there.

The Donky Kong vs Cro Cop was huge, it was great to have Heath Herring in the booth helping commentate that fight, he was going nuts when Cro Cop got KO'd.

Kerr vs Fujita was huge, Kerr wold've won that GP IMO had he not had to face Iron Chin Fujita, not many people could eat Mark Kerr knees and Fujita ate them and bounced back.

It is on Pride TE 2004 and surprisingly you can find nearly every Pride DVD at BestBuy. You can probably get them cheaper on Ebay but if you want quality, get them from BestBuy they are $14.99-$17.99 each so it does et quite expensive quickly. I don't own any UFC tapes other than 43 and 44 adn that's becasue BestBuy had a package deal on those we just record all of the PPV after we order them but the Pride DVD's are great as those have a much better replay value than the UFC events IMO.

you are correct, that was the fight with Igor. It was later called a NC. Fujita's win over Kerr was such a big upset because Kerr was undefeated at the time and Fujita was a MMA newcomer.

Thanks for setting me straight on Igor Vovchanchyn.

On the other issue to touched on about the replay quality of PPV events between PRIDE and UFC, I totally agree with you. For some reason the PRIDE events are a freakin' spectacle while UFC PPVs seem sort of ordinary.

I know some people consider it "wrestling entertainment-ish" to have big elaborate ring entrances, but I kind of dig it. I saw one of the PRIDE events where they had the guys coming out under a huge screen and had those big-ass kettle drums playing. It definetly got my hyped for the fight.

It also seems to me that PRIDE has more "Motherfucker! Did you see what he just did?!?!" moments.

How about Hunt defeating Wandy a while back?? . . . that really shocked me.

Cro Cop vs Nog

when Nog pulled off that armbar, i was amazed. throughout the entire fight i thought cc was gonna win, cuz it seemed one sided most of the time. i didn't doubt nog at all, but it seemed impossible for him to win at one point of the fight.

And that is why he is the #2 ranked HW in the world and the #1 ranked grappler in the world (IMO and certainly most everyone elses aside from the die hard Gracie fans). He can take a huge amount of punishment and come back and pull off a sub for the win.

Nog beating Cro Cop wasn't much of an upset. As degreat stated Nog was and is the #2 HW in the world. He was favored to beat Mirko, and he did.

Yeah that was at Shockwave 2004. Definitely an upset, and a poor decision IMO. I wanted Hunt to win, and he did, but I thought Wand controlled the fight for most of the 1st round, and he had many more takedowns. With those factors and the weight difference, Wand should have won. The judges went with Hunt because of the damage he caused and because he was aggressive.
