New to this board but I have a ques. bout UFC 62
 

Hi I'm new here ( but a long time MMA fan) and I've been reading all your guys' post for a while now and I just have a quick question. Is it just me or should UFC 62 be advertised as " Pointless!," I mean what is the point of rematching Liddell with Sorbal in the first place? Liddell made a highlight reel out of the guy regardless of how close the fight was before that happened. As far as Griffin V Bonnar goes this is not something that I'm jumping up and down to see especially after Bonnar just lost. I'm pretty dissapointed in this card but I'm really looking forward to the next one with Chuck and Silva.....assuming he beats Sorbal. Anyway, would like to know your guys' opinion.

I actually understand why they are giving babalu another shot. He has won like ten in a row since that defeat. He deserves another shot a helluva lot more than trigg did getting another shot at hughes. Unfortunately though if they don't get some more decent fights on this card it has the potential to really bite.

Yeah, I also see why Babalu deserves the shot, but honestly this card is weak and I don't know if this should be priced at 40$. It's rumored Cheik Kongo is fighting on the card. and I do want to see what this guy could do in the HW division.

I doubt Chuck dominates Babalu, and man ill look stupid if it happens but still you really think Chuck is head and shoulders a better fighter then Babalu? I doubt that.

Agree that chuck will probably not dominate Babalu again but I do think his standup is head and shoulder above babalu and his ground game is good enough to neutrilze Renato. Chuck 2nd or 3rd round tko.

It's a shame that Rich is injured, or else I'm pretty confident he'd be on the undercard. Personally, I woulda tried to have moved Hughes V St Pierre on this undercard. As a long time MMA and boxing fan I have to say that the thing that killed boxing was boring cards and 1 main event. UFC should highlight their different and better attributes by providing as many good fights as possible without milking it either. Thats just my two cents though..

I wouldnt say Chuck is head and sholders better than him but his style is a nightmare for fighters like Sobral.

Babalu deserves a shot more than anyone in the division.
but besides that I think 62 is pretty shitty.
I'm still gonna buy it but damn

i can understand why they r giving him another chance since he is on a huge win streak, but i doubt that he even has the slightest chance. he wont be albe to take chuck down, he will have to strike with him and he will get ko'ed. the forrest vs. bonner fight isnt that exciting. chuck vs. sorbal is kinda like ufc 60's main event, everybody knew that hughes would win, and everybody knows chuck will win, but sorbal does have a small sub chance. i hope they come up with a lot of interesting undercard fights.
