Like I said that remains to be seen. I am hoping for a war and don't really care who wins as long as it is an exciting fight. These two are the top two LHW's now and have been for the last two years. Both have gotten better and both have faced the top competition in their respective organizations.
Neither fighter has really clean standup. both are a little unorthodox. wand has better knees chuck has more power. kicks are probably even with a slight edge to chuck imo. should be a great fight.

thats kinda fucked up if i wasnt getting paid though i wouldnt fight either come to the ufc mirko and kill sylvia and i cant wait to see chuck and wand dont care who wins as long as its a slugfest but i pick chuck i think hes got it since its in the cage

The Craotian article said that Mirko is considering an offer from the WFA. The offer was made before the WFA put on their disappointing show though.
Mirko seems to be upset that if he makes it to the finals and loses, he would not be paid for the second match.
The fighters get paid for the first fight of the night win or lose. But in the finals match only the winner claims the prize and the loser is left holding the bag.
Pride needs to change that. No fighter should ever have to take a fight for free unless he wins. Especially not a main event fight, the main fight of the GP.

If that is true then all the bs about pride paying so much more that the ufc is a complete non argument. at least the ufc can say they pay all their fighters something. And if pride is going to have potentially their two biggest fighters fight and one comes away with nothing that is a total load. Pride can and needs to do more than that.

thats some crappy news, i would love for him to join the ufc and destroy tim the maniac, but i dont blame him for not showing, nobody should work for free.

Once a fighter gets knocked out once...it's always possible it could happen again. I could see both Chuck and Wand getting KO'd.

I think it's a dick move by Cro Cop. I'm not saying anybody should fight for free. Mirko certainly isn't. I guess he doesn't have the confidence that he is gonna win the whole thing since he is worried about getting paid for the 2nd fight if he loses. I don't hear Wand, Barnett, or Nog bitching about getting paid for the 2nd fight if they lose. Probably because all 3 think they are gonna win the whole thing. I love watching Mirko fight, and if this does go through it will definitely suck.
I'm pretty sure that this is always how Pride has done it in their GP's. I'm sure Mirko knew about this before the tourney even started, so I don't understand why he would go all this way in the tourney to quit.

I think it was money not fear. lol He really took the steam out of this event for me though.
