Fedor
Come on, the man doesn't even need a nickname. Just having a cool ass name like FEDOR is badass enough. Say that out loud in a really deep James Earl Jones type voice. FEDOR!!!!!!
People shudder in fear!
I like the snowman. Not that it's that great of a nickname, but supposedly it was given to Jeff Monson at the Abu Dhabi championships because they thought he was big and pale and looked like a snowball rolling on the mat.
Jeff Monson's home page confirms your claim:

Ok,... So where did the nickname "The Snowman" come from?
The Brazilian Fighters gave him the nickname back in 1999 at Abu Dhabi Combat Club Submission Grappling Tournament. He came in as an unknown but beat 4 Brazilians in a row to win the title. Each guy was more difficult than the previouis guy. As he went along in the tournament continuing to beat his opponents they said he was like a snowball (white, compact, and rolling and getting bigger and stronger as the tournament went on). Then wouldn't you know it... it then was translated into "Snowman" and it stuck. So that is the story.
