60 was good imo.
61 was garbage and 62.... who knows.
I'll wait to bitch until after the show but as of right now it looks bleak.
But hey, 63 is shaping up to be sweet, and so is 64.
I wonder, when shows are every month, what are we to expect?

Not every show is gonna be excellent, and yes, some are not so great (Arlovski vs. Buentello, in particular). But I guess for me it more than evens out in the end. There have been far more shows that I was happy about than ones I was pissed about. The problem is that it can be hard to tell how a show is gonna end up before it happens. I won't be getting UFC 62 at home, but will probably watch it at the local bar. I will be getting UFC 63 because Hughes and St. Pierre rarely disappoint. Just use your better judgement, and if you hear a show totally kicks ass, you can always get the re-play.

People put way too much stock into if the fighters are big names. For example Pride Total Elimination 2005 had a bunch of well known fighters and was one of the most boring PPVs I have ever seen. UFC 60 outside of the main event didn't have any big name fighters on it was definitely worth the money. Actually UFC 61 is the only UFC PPV this year that I would say wasn't worth the money.

I have to agree with most here. After UFC 60 and 61 I said thats it. I started to feel like back in the day with the Tyson fights and shit. One of my good buddies has a couple of restaurant/sports bars here in columbus, Ohio. He promotes most sporting events and gets everyone in for mainstream sports. He is a casual mma fan and ive been busting his balls to do the Hooters thing and have the fights. He has agreed and actually is setting up some promotional deal to get local fighters in there to promote their fights while showing UFC events. Hopefully it will take off and get him some business and I dont have to drop money on Dana's vision of the UFC but still get to see the fights I want to see.

Neer/Burkman was a good fight, but most people don't really care about either of them and i'm surprised they didn't put that on the undercard. and don't get me started on Mir's flab-fest. 61 wasn't a bad ppv on paper, but it just didn't turn out. and most of the ppvs before that were pretty damned good.

I guess its the risk of pushing the auth button you never know how a fight is going to turn out. Thats why it is definatly worth it to split the cost and get pizza and beer. I love to see the under cards and check out up and commers the problem is when most of your friends are casual fans the main event has to sell the deal to get people to pitch in.

I have rarely been disappointed by a UFC PPV (Arlovski-Buentello was kind of lame and 61 had some Ok fights), so i'll keep getting em. Have yet to see a Chuck fight in recent memory that I didn't enjoy. That and I am curious to see how Griffin-Bonnar 2 comes out...Been wanting to see that since their first fight.

Dana White is betting on the fact that everyone will shell out for Liddell/Sobral II and Bonnar/Griffin II.
I don't know if that's a good idea or bad.
Chuck doesn't have boring fights, so that's obviously the big draw here.
But Bonnar/Griffin II? I might be more excited to see it if Bonnar didn't make such a poor showing against Rashad.
Everyone thinks that this will be like the first TUF Finale, and I hope it is too, but I think Forrest knows that all he has to do to win is take Bonnar to the ground.
But I hope I'm wrong, which I generally am.

I don't think it's trash. We get anywhere from 6 to 10 guys who go in on the ppvs. We all throw in $10 so we usually order pizza and get drunk. I would spend a lot more if I went to a bar on a Sat. night. Not all of the fights are going to be great but they are usually good. Even if the main event doesn't live up to the hype some of the undercard fights are good.
