But PRIDE kind of surprised us when it announced that its reserve bout was gonna be A. Emelianenko VS Sergei Kharitonov; what happened to Zenstov?


Sooooo who do you think will replace CroCop in the grandprix if he DOES happen to leave?



I'd like if they put Kharitonov in, and match up Zentsov and Aleksander, but that doesn't make sense. Zenstov seems to be the only logical choice.

Aren't guys like CroCop under like yearly contracts with pride,if not they should be, winning the grand prix should be just extra money on top of there normal pay.

The grand prix should be a least half a million,looks like Pride is in major trouble.

he's under contract, but i guess pride isn't paying him or something, its some weird situation with the two and i don't like it one bit. CroCop is probably my favorite fighter and def in the three best HWs in Pride, so i just hope Pride hasn't addressed it because they plan on rectifying it before it goes down. otherwise the GP buy rates are gonna go down immensely

Crocop typically only signs one fight contracts from what I understand. So they have to negotiate with him before each fight.

If he says he hasn't got paid you can't blame him for pulling out (sounds a lot like the Bob Sapp/ K-1 saga!)

From what I understand Zentsov would replace him, otherwise I can't see the point of the alternate fight he had with Gilbert Yvel.

I bet they work something out. Mirko has been talking about leaving PRIDE for a little while now. I'm sure he'll go to the highest paid organization.
