Chieck Kongo Hey I have said this before but I am relatively new to MMA and don't know a lot about many guys, but the UFC had an article hyping this Kongo guy a great deal, is he worthy of the hype or just another marginal heavyweight that the UFC will trot out there to get destroyed by either Sylvia or Arlovski.? |
I haven't seen him fight but those who have say he's pretty impressive. I wanna see him fight on UFC 62, hopefully he's not on the undercard. |
yeah apparently he schooled Aldana! if he pulls out a victory this time around i can see him moving up to the main card sooner then later. After seeing his performance at 61, Mir said he wanted to fight him. Kongo is also in really great shape, and i remember someone saying that if he and Mir fought that it would give Mir a good excuse to get "in shape" for this one...i'd have to agree. but has anyone heard Kongo talk? his french/english accent is hilarious! he says UGH after pretty much everything he says. everyone should check out his video interviews on UFC.com if they're still there...LOL |

He's a stud, the real deal. Seen him fight a few times. |
With the lack of big names on the 62 undercard his fight could very easily end up making the main card. |
I really hope this guy turns out to be the real deal. The UFC is really hurting for heavyweights. I'm starting to give up hope on Frank Mir. I know it was a bad injury and it's a shame it happened, but physically how do you go from being on the cover of Muscle & Fitness to looking the way he did in his last fight. In my opinion, Arlovski's the only big guy worth watching in the UFC. |
when you get injured you don't have time to train so you get bigger I can understand that ,but Mir's had plenty of time to get back in shape.Maybe a fight against Vera is just the thing he needs to motivate him to get back in shape. |
